David and Donna Flowers
David Flowers was the Tennessee District’s Home Missions secretary and his wife, Donna, was the Ladies Auxiliary president when they were appointed to Madagascar in October 1987. After serving a term in Madagascar, they transferred to Malawi. In May 1996 the FMB expanded the Flowerses’ appointment to include Mozambique.
In October 2001, the Foreign Missions Board approved the their transfer to South Africa. They live in Pretoria, administrate and teach in the South Africa Bible Institute, coordinate leadership training for the Africa Region, and serve as missionaries to the northern area of the Republic of South Africa. Flowers stated, “I am a strong believer in training. I spend most of my time in Bible school work. I also preach in conferences and seminars. I travel to churches throughout the country, preaching and teaching.” The
South African church elected him as the national director of Christian education.
